In 2023, I was elected the President of the B.C. Crown Counsel Assocation (BCCCA). Our Association represents approximately 550 Crown Counsel (Criminal Prosecutors). In 2024, I was elected the Vice-President of the Canadian Association of Crown Counsel (CACC).

In these roles, I have travelled throughout British Columbia, parts of Canada, and spoken internationally on Canada’s justice system. I have listened to frontline prosecutors and local elected officials to understand their concerns and educate local leaders on their justice system, including community courts. Specifically, I have discussed the concept of therapeutic justice and Canada’s first Community Court: Downtown Community Court (DCC) on Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.
